The American tax payer does not need to “bail out” the big 3 auto makers. The major thing that has caused the current problems that the “big 3″ are facing is plain and simply the unions. The unions cause more problems than benefits. By letting the big 3 fail and file for bankruptcy, this would allow them to get out of the contracts with the unions. With the unions out of the way, or at least weakened, the auto makes could return to profitability. Until that happens, the will just keep coming back for more money at that expense of you and me, the American tax payer.

In more sensible times, if a business failed then a younger business with a better strategy came along to take it’s place and fill the void. Maybe Obama can call his bailout plan “No Corporation Left Behind.”
